About Us

At HOEC we believe in the power of education for all. We also understand the pressures of mainstream school life on top of growing up, often with difficult and turbulent circumstances around us. That’s why, just over 2 years ago, Steven Daniels set up Horizons Education Centre (HEC), based in Widnes, Cheshire, UK for students who struggle with life in mainstream education. HEC offers education provision and academic tuition in English, Maths & Science along with personal development programmes and creative project work. Our services are supplied directly to schools and the Local Authority in Halton, Cheshire, UK.

During the COVID – 19 crisis, Horizons Online Education Centre was set up to provide home education and support for existing students and enabled a platform to offer our services to anyone wanting to take advantage of them. By combining the lessons and resources on this site with video conference lessons and one-one support, we can offer a high standard of online home tuition. All of these resources and lessons are created in house. This means we can offer bespoke educational learning journeys designed to meet the different needs of our students.
